Who we are
cuspd (the website at cuspd.com and the cuspd iPhone app) is operated by Saed S. Sayegh, LLC, a Florida limited liability company. In this policy, “cuspd”, “we” and “us” mean that company. Contact: team@cuspd.com.
What we collect
Your account
- Your name and email address.
- Your password, if you use one. It is stored hashed by our authentication provider; nobody at cuspd can read it.
- If you sign in with Google or with Apple, the account identifier and email that service sends us. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email, in which case we only receive Apple’s private relay address.
What you log
- The practices you work at, the days you work, your visits (numbered, with procedure codes, fees and lab fees), monthly production, collections and pay, your goals.
- Credential expiry dates and notes (licence, DEA, CPR, malpractice) and your CE entries. cuspd stores dates only. There is no field for a licence number or a DEA number.
There is no patient information in cuspd. The app has no field for a patient name or any other patient detail, and visits are numbered. Please don’t type patient information into notes.
Billing
Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status, plan and invoice history. We never see or store your card number.
Messages you send us
If you email us or use Ask for a change or Leave a review in the app, we keep that message and your email address so we can reply.
If you leave a review and choose to share it, we may show it on our website with your name or only your initial with the rest blurred, whichever you picked, and “Associate dentist.” If you choose to keep it private, we never show it. We never show your email or anything from your record. Ask us and we take it down.
Technical information
Like any website, our servers and hosting provider receive basic request data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, which is used to run and secure the service.
How we use it
- To run cuspd: show you your numbers, save what you log, and sync it across your devices.
- To run your subscription and send receipts.
- To send account emails: confirming your address, password resets, a welcome email, replies to you.
- To keep the service secure and stop abuse, such as automated fake sign-ups.
- To fix bugs and improve the product.
We may in future show anonymised, aggregated figures (for example, typical production for associates in a region) built from many accounts. Those figures never identify you, and we will say on the page when they are in use.
What we never do
- We never sell your information, and never share it with a practice or employer.
- We never share what you log in cuspd (your production, pay, procedures or anything else in your record) with anyone.
- The iPhone app does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Giveaways
If you enter a cuspd giveaway (for example at a dental meeting), we may share your name and email address with the exhibitors and speakers taking part in that giveaway, so they can contact you about their products and courses. The giveaway page and its rules say this before you enter. If you enter on a speaker’s own giveaway page, anything extra it asks for, such as your phone number, goes only to that speaker and only if you agree on that page. Nothing is shared with anyone outside the participating exhibitors and speakers, never anything you log in cuspd, and you can unsubscribe from their emails at any time.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job listed:
- Supabase — database and sign-in. Your record is stored here, encrypted at rest.
- Netlify — hosts the website and app.
- Stripe — payments and invoices.
- Resend — sends account emails.
- Google and Apple — only if you choose to sign in with them.
- Google Ads — on our public website only (not inside the iPhone app), a Google tag measures whether our ads lead to sign-ups. You can block it with any standard ad or tracker blocker without affecting cuspd.
The iPhone app
- Face ID. If you turn on the Face ID lock, the check is done entirely by iOS on your phone. cuspd never receives your face data; it only learns whether the check passed.
- Reminders. Renewal and “don’t forget to log” reminders are scheduled on your phone from your own dates. They are not sent through any server, and you can turn them off in the app or in iPhone Settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and record for as long as your account exists, including after a subscription ends, so you never lose your history. When you delete your account, your account, your record and your profile are permanently deleted straight away. Invoices held by Stripe are kept as required for tax and accounting. Server logs are kept for a limited period by our providers.
Your choices and rights
- See and export it: the export in the app gives you your whole record as a spreadsheet, any time.
- Correct it: everything you logged can be edited in the app.
- Delete it: in the app, open your account menu and choose Delete my account, or go to cuspd.com/account/delete. It cancels any active subscription and permanently deletes your data. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights, such as asking what we hold about you. Email team@cuspd.com and we will answer within 30 days.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit. Each record is locked to its owner by the database itself (row-level security), not just by the app, and data is encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever learn of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you.
Children
cuspd is a professional tool for dentists and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
